PROFILE: I am the President of the NYC-Long Island Chapter, and the Vice President of the New York State Tax and Accounting Professionals (NYSTAP). I earned my Accountancy Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baruch College and completed my studies in 1974.
From 1974 to 1980 I worked as a staff accountant for several boutique accounting firms that specialized in audits of newspapers, trade unions, various manufacturing companies, real estate companies and miscellaneous small businesses.
November 1980, I decided to start my own accountancy and tax practice. I was a contributing editor for the Independent Computer Consultants Association as well as a guest speaker at their national symposiums. I have a diverse practice providing financial and tax advice for individuals and business owners.
In 2003 I spearheaded several informal groups on the yahoo platform for the purpose of sharing information about Esophageal Cancer as well as providing statistical data to assist people in gaining knowledge about Esophageal Cancer. In 2004 I organized chat meeting for caregivers and Esophageal Cancer patients giving them a virtual meeting place to ask questions and seek advice.
Besides my involvement with NYSTAP I am presently serving as a financial adviser for the Chabad of Northeast Queens and all also mentoring young entrepreneurs in making successful business decisions.
